Welcome to Little Footprint Farm

Little Footprint Farm is an enchanting farm on Little Horseshoe Lake near Turtle Lake, Wisconsin.  Michael Brenna has been farming for 35+ years and gardening all of his life.  This lovely 50+ acre farmland consists of restored prairies and wetlands where Scottish Highland Cattle are rotationally grazed on a mixture of clover, grasses, and alfalfa.  Sustainability and energy efficiency is a high priority on this farm—a windmill pumps the animal’s and households’ fresh water; a solar system keeps it from freezing in the winter.  Many more efficient ideas are in the making.  We’d love to share them with you when you come to tour the farm.
